Red Box: This is the time display. You can click on it to change it so that it displays the actual seconds past or so that it shows what measure and beat you are on.
Green box: Oscilloscope view displays the wave output of FL Studio. Right-click the Oscilloscope view to set various options for its look. This is a great way to get a feel for what various synthesizer wave-forms look like. Play up and down the note scale until the image stabilizes. To the right of the Oscilloscope is the peak meter which shows you how loud, in decibels, your music is playing.
Blue Box: In this example the 16 and the corresponding bar are a display of CPU usage. The graph shows the usage over time. The 422 is the used RAM on my computer the instant I took this picture. It can display your available RAM or your used RAM. Right clicking, you can decide. The little 7 there is how many 'voices' FL Studio is processing. This shows you how much active sounds there are, but some sounds have several voices.
I don't have AOE2 but from what I've read previously, it will run on Win10.Any fixes that worked for Win7 should also work for Win10.The first thing to do would be to install any patches that were released for the game.The site below is one of several fan sites for these games. MS has started blocking the driver (secdrv.sys) used bySafeDisk copy protection (used on almost all older MS games). You should be able to find fixes at the forums on one of these sites.- With old games on Win10 there are two settings you want to verify are enabled. AOE2 also had issues on Win7 for a lot of people. Go to.Programs and Features Turn Windows Features On or Off and verify thatLegacy Components & Direct Play and.NET 3.5 are enabled.- MS has introduced a new issue for users of olddisk based games.
Apr 05, 2011 FL Studio 10 - Tempo Change Stretches Audio Clip In Playlist This seems like a basic feature but I haven't been able to figure out how to make it stop. I have an mp3 of a song loaded into the playlist as an audio clip.

Pink Box: When you want playback, you will have to choose 'Pattern' (pat) or 'Song' (song). Pattern means you will only play what is on the current Step Editor and nothing else. The song one means it will play everything in the playlist. You got your play/pause, stop, and record buttons. Then you have Tempo (142.158 bpm in this case). And finally, which pattern you are on (6 in this case).
Orange Box: Going in order from top left to right and then bottom left to right: 1. Do you want to use your typing keyboard for playing notes? Most likely. 2. Do you want FL to countdown before recording? Yes. 3. Do you want recorded notes to blend with existing ones? Yes. 4. Do you want to have constant loop? Not yet. 5. This piece consists of 18 tracks (18 parts). Instruments used:
Albion 1 and 2 (mainly for percussion)
Albion 3 (for the low / hi brass and cellos)VSL Special Edition instruments (for all other melodic elements, including harps, timpani, strings, woodwinds, horns and a celesta)

With these 2 libraries as the main instruments. I tried to explore a greater range of expressiveness in terms of tempo, volume and spacing in the piece.
The very dramatic feature in this piece is the abrupt change in tempo and mood at the exact middle portion of the piece. Many times when writing I find myself unable to break out of a certain groove the music is carving out, and I was unable to break out of it. So here I challenged myself to break out with this huge increase in the speed as well as from an orderly harmonically sensible flow, to a fast, chaotic and tense mood. I do hope I did it in a tasteful manner.
I also tried to explore the use of atonal intervals and groups of chords to try and portray chaos and tension in certain parts. At the beginning, there were some portions where I felt was quite forced and awkward. However, when I progressively work on a piece for close to 3 months, strange things happen to my perception of those dissonant lines and chords after a while. They became acceptable to the point where they now lead 'naturally' to those notes in my head when I play the piece through in my head.
This can be due to the 'tunnel vision' composers tend to get when they become too focused on their music. So I took some time off (like a week or two, while working on other ideas for other pieces) before I came back to this. Somehow I found it to be acceptable still.
Coming from a pop, rock and ballad background, I did not use to accept things like that (I used to be turned off by classical music, especially the dissonant and atonal kinds). Am I gradually loosening my perceived rules of music, or am I actually deviating from widely accepted norms of harmony? Will this be a passing phase for me as I try to discover how far I can go with this, or will this stick to my writing from now on?

I can hear quite a few parts that sound similar to my previous writings. I need to broaden my vocabulary and listen to more works from other composers.
This journey of music is bringing me somewhere, and it is not over yet.
